Northern Ireland IT giant Kainos has more than doubled pre-tax profits to £57.1m and plans to add another 500 jobs to its workforce this year.
rendan Mooney, the company’s chief executive, told Ulster Business the large margins were down to a number of reasons, including a reduction in costs amid the pandemic due to a significant reduction in travel and events.
The company also saw sales rise by almost a third, increasing to £234.7m for the year ending March 31, 2021.
Mr Mooney says while the company’s offices across the globe are now open, around 97% of staff are working from home.
