Just weeks after President Biden’s administration lifted restrictions for travel to and from the US, strict rules are set to come back into force.
President Biden has rolled out a series of travel bans on arrivals from eight nations in South Africa due to the recent discovery of the Omicron variant.
The entry rules for the US are changing, not just for those coming from South Africa, for all international travelers.

The travel bans announced on November 26 stop entry into the US of noncitizens coming from eight countries in southern Africa.
They are Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
It’s also important to know the rules if you are heading to the US, despite the relaxation of rules on November 8, those heading to the States from the UK need to fulfill certain requirements set by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
