Jeremy Clarkson fans are already furious about the launch of his new pub – and it hasn’t even opened yet.
Ahead of the eagerly awaited launch of Jeremy Clarkson’s new pub, The Farmer’s Dog, locals have already started griped about the name. It was originally called The Windmill and was a venue that came “highly recommended”, with the food so renowned that some travelled from as far afield as London to sample it.
However it has since been changed to The Farmer’s Dog, which the locals insist is a reference to dogging in the area, with locals flocking to nearby fields.
One unhappy local exclaimed: “When it was called The Windmill, you’d be blown away! Now it reminds you of the time Jeremy discovered a lady’s knickers in the car park. It sounds a bit sordid to me.”
He added: “I used to watch Jeremy on Top Gear and can’t believe some of the things he said and how he got away with them!”
