Forecaster Brian Gaze of The Weather Outlook told The Mirror that it will be brought by what is leftover from US hurricanes.
“Perhaps by the end of the first week of September, it may well be turning more unsettled in the northwest of the UK. Then that more unsettled weather with rain will probably spread south-eastwards through the second week of September.”
