Former Hobby apprentice, Frederik Bendel, has been named best woodworker of 2022 in German apprenticeship awards
Twenty-year-old Frederik received his award from the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Schleswig-Holstein during a ceremony held at the ACO Thormanhalle in Büdelsdorf.
The awards recognise the region’s best apprentices, based on their final exam grades and a practical task.
The German motorhome and caravan manufacturer employed Frederik in the company’s sawmill as soon as he’d finished his apprenticeship, where he has been working for the past six months.
Frederik says,
I’ve felt right at home at Hobby from the very beginning and am really happy that I’ve found the place where I belong here.
In 2023, Hobby will be taking on 12 woodworking apprentices, two industrial clerk apprentices, as well as bodywork specialists and vehicle builders specialising in caravan and motorhome…
