Thousands of families around Berkshire will be looking to head home to India or visit the country for business in the coming months.
However, the ongoing situation with coronavirus is making that far harder for passengers, who have to comply with a range of rules.
Anyone travelling to India from airports like Heathrow must submit a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha portal 72 hours before travelling.

This includes uploading a negative PCR test result, taken 72 hours before travelling.
India’s travel rules after arrival
When they arrive, passengers can expect thermal screening by health officials, as well as providing a Covid-19 test on arrival.
Travellers must then wait for their results at the airport before leaving.
If the test is negative, a seven day quarantine is still required, with another test on the eighth day after arrival.
A negative results mean travellers are responsible for monitoring their health over the next seven days.
