It’s been a long, long wait for anyone hoping to head to New Zealand.
The country closed its borders at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic and other than a brief reopening, it’s not been possible to visit.
Travellers from Heathrow Airport have therefore not been able to visit the country for years.

All of that, however, is slowly set to change as the New Zealand government has set out plans for a phased return to normality.
Around 200,000 Brits head to the country each year. Although that’s been on hold, travellers will be able to return to NZ by the end of the year under the plans.
