Free bacon rolls from Greggs and a mindfulness app are being offered to train commuters in bid to lure them back to the railways as work from home restrictions ease.
Complimentary breakfast food, hot drinks and app subscriptions are among the perks in a new rewards scheme launched today by industry body the Rail Delivery Group (RDG).
Offers, intended to help passengers make the most of their commute, include a one-month subscription to the Mindfulness App, a two month audiobook subscription with audiobooks.com and three months’ free on TIDAL HiFi music.
Complimentary hot drinks will also be available in London and at Gatwick Airport from food outlet Pure.
Passengers do not need a train ticket to access the rewards programme and are only required to enter a phone number, email address and details of a regular commute to access the freebies at nationalrail.co.uk/commuter.
Only 2,000 Greggs vouchers in total will be available at launch, presented on a first-come-first served basis, with more offers to be added in the coming weeks.
