A green technology firm is looking for funding to expand its smart greenhouse range.
Harvst has launched a kickstarter to help with manufacture of a solar powered greenhouse and polytunnel watering system.
They say their product WaterMate can run anywhere in the garden and pumps water from a water tank, meaning there is no need for a tap. It gives two separate watering areas, ideal for plants with different watering needs or schedules in the same place.
The team at Harvst have devised two models, one for smaller greenhouses and another for larger greenhouses and polytunnels; WaterMate Mini retails at £199 and WaterMate Pro, £299. Although they are available at discount through the kickstarter.
Based in Cardigan, West Wales, Harvst is a green-tech, smart greenhouse company co-founded by Chris Tanner and Rik Sellwood, both passionate amateur gardeners with successful innovation and tech backgrounds.
The pair, who live in the village of Ferwig, west Wales, came together last year during the Covid pandemic to bring the Harvst concept to life.
