Good Morning Britain have asked whether or not it’s acceptable to use pet names in the workplace for female colleagues.
It comes after a tribunal has recently ruled it as demeaning to call your female co-workers ‘love’ or “honey” and it’s not the same as calling men ‘mate’.
The show informed viewers that a funeral home manager was fired for making a series of inappropriate remarks to a woman at work by calling her ‘sweet’ and ‘chick’.

Presenter Kate Garraway then posed the question ‘is it time to stop using pet names in the workplace’.
They then brought on Journalist Ella Whelan and TV chef Rustie Lee who gave their thoughts on the debate.
