CHEEKY the cat, winner of the 2005 Evening Times Pet Idol Best Cat category, has sadly died at age 16.
Cheeky, who won the competition when she was just six months old, died on December 4 from natural causes at her home in Greenfield.
Her devastated owner Jennifer Chan contacted the Glasgow Times to let us know and said Cheeky has been a huge loss as she was such a big personality.
She said: “We all miss her.
“We really adored her because she was such a beautiful cat, and she was very loveable.
“I loved her cuddles beside me in bed, I loved her so much.
“I always loved to see her when I came home from work every night.”
She added: “She got what she wanted, always.”

Jennifer got Cheeky when she was six weeks old and says she always adored cats as they are so “clever and mysterious”.
The 53-year-old decided to enter her in the Evening Times competition after she saw it in the paper and decided to “give it a try”.
