The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) has revealed that Lee Connelly, better known as the Skinny Jean Gardener, has been named the official ambassador for National Children’s Gardening Week 2025 which runs from 24 May – 1 June 2025. As a leading children’s gardening educator, Lee will spearhead the exciting initiative to inspire young minds and nurture a new generation of gardeners across the country.
The aim of National Children’s Gardening Week is to inspire children’s curiosity, whilst the warm weather is a great time to see speedy results of seed sowing, planting, and other gardening activities. The campaign promotes gardening to the public and encourages garden centres across the UK to hold engaging events throughout the week to connect a new generation with the joy of gardening.
