Hours of snow falling through the night has seen gardeners up and down the UK wake up to piles of icy snow across their house and garden this morning.
After days of snow forecasts and 43 hours of yellow weather warnings for snow from the Met Office, the predictions finally came to pass and snow hit much of the north of England, Scotland and Wales today.
