Holidaymakers planning to head to Greece this week have been issued fresh travel advice by UK authorities.
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has published new guidance ahead of a major football competition which will be held at the nation’s capital this Thursday (May 9). UK holidaymakers who are heading to see the UEFA Europa Conference League to see Greek team Olympiacos take on Aston Villa, should heed the latest advice to make the most of their trip.
As well as being asked to plan ahead, visiting game attendants should make sure to listen to locals, as well as taking extra care of personal items. Even those who aren’t travelling to Athens for the game should also pay attention to advice to ensure they are fully prepared.
In a statement published on Tuesday, May 7, the FCDO stated: “Athens will host the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday 9 May between Olympiacos and Aston Villa. If you are travelling to Athens for the match, you should:
