The school garden at Rowledge C of E Primary School and the Busy Bees Gardening and Wildlife Club
A primary school in Farnham in Surrey has received four grants to fund its community gardening project.
Rowledge C of E Primary School got the donations for the school garden as part of the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) Connected Communities Fund.
Farnham Lions Club has also offered to buy a bench for the school garden.
A spokesperson from the school said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce that in the past few weeks the school garden at Rowledge C of E Primary School and the Busy Bees Gardening and Wildlife Club have been chosen to be the lucky recipients of four grants to support the wonderful work being undertaken in the school garden.
“We are very proud and have a wonderful community project underway which we would love for local residents to get involved in.”
The funding will be used on a number of projects. The school will purchase and install a part-glazed potting and storage shed in the school grounds for use by the pupils.
