A new designer labels store is preparing to open its doors for the first time in Burton – and we got to take a look around before the big day.
Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children will be opening in Coopers Square shopping centre on Monday, May 17, in the former B&M Bargains store next to WHSmith.
The team is now busy behind the scenes stocking the rails with lines of clothes and getting ready to welcome its first customers from 10am. Newlife is not like other charity shops as it does not take donations from members of the public.
Instead, big-named stores donate, including River Island, Miss Selfridge, Top Shop, Top Man, Dorothy Perkins and Primark, surplus stock which is then sold at a reduced price to raise money for the charity.
Manager Tracey Toone said: “We want our customers to have a happy shopping experience with lots of variety to choose from in different sizes for women, men and children. We have a friendly team who are all customer-focused and ready to help.
