A dog daycare business in Cheshire looks set for closure after the barking from its four-legged guests’ disturbed residents.
Joanne Morris opened The Doghouse at Schoolfold Lane, Adlington, in September 2020 and it had been taking up to 15 pet pooches a day.
The facilities it offered included three 25m long play runs, an exercise compound and three metal shelters.

This was refused with noise from the dogs, harm from development on the green belt and a lack of room on site for parking and manoeuvring cars among the reasons.
Residents in the area had raised these issues as well as traffic safety concerns and the council received 12 letters of complaint. One said: “Residents on Wood Lane South have already experienced unacceptable dog barking from this site which led to the planning department insisting on a planning application.“
