A dog helped save its owner’s life after she suffered a seizure at Sutton-On-Sea beach.
The dog alerted RNLI lifeguards by running around erratically on the promenade at around 4pm on July 31.
Lead Lifeguard Supervisor Arun Gray noticed the animal and ran over to administer care to its owner while his colleague called an ambulance.
Luckily the woman, in her late 40s, had written a note on her phone detailing her medical conditions.
During her seizure, Mr Gray and lifeguard Ethan Scott continued administering oxygen and supporting her airways.
An ambulance arrived a short time later and took over from the team.
Mr Gray said: ‘The Sutton-On-Sea team acted calmly and efficiently making sure the woman received essential medical care before the ambulance arrived.
‘It was great that the lady decided to take her dog to one of our lifeguarded beaches – as soon as she was in trouble, we were able to help her and look after the dog.’
