A new Netflix drama will hit screens across the country at the end of the month telling the true story behind the Corby Poisonings.
Between 1980 and 1990 in Corby, Northamptonshire, children were three times more likely to be born with birth defects after the council failed to properly manage the redevelopment of a steelworks, leading to one of the UK’s biggest environmental scandals.
Four-part limited series Toxic Town, by acclaimed screenwriter Jack Thorne – known for Help and Joy, tells the story of the group of mothers who fought tirelessly to get justice for the impact the scandal had on their lives and families.
