A scheme for adults with learning disabilities is now able to offer accredited qualifications in activities including cookery and gardening.
Voluntary Action Epping Forest’s Ace Activity scheme has become an ASDAN (Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network) accredited centre.
The scheme is now able to offer accredited training courses in cookery, upcycling and gardening (limited spaces available). The cookery and gardening courses take place at the Grange Farm Centre in Chigwell, IG7 6DP.
ASDAN is an education charity which provides courses and curriculum programmes for young people aged 11 to 25 years in greatest need. This includes young people living in poverty, those without support for their emotional and social needs, those with a special educational need or disability and those not engaged or succeeding in their education. ASDAN qualifications supply meaningful learning outcomes, leading to further education, training and work, empowering these young people to take control of their lives.
