Huge mounds of rubbish have been dumped near a beauty spot in Southcote popular with families and dog walkers – prompting calls for CCTV.
BerkshireLive was contacted by a person living in the area who said the entrance to Linear Park off Brunel Road, Southcote, has become a popular dumping ground for fly-tippers.
A huge mound of rubbish, alleged to contain potentially harmful asbestos, was dumped in the area over the weekend of Saturday, November 20, and Sunday, November 21.

The man – who asked not to be identified – said vans full of rubbish turn up regularly in the area – and is now calling on Reading Borough Council to install CCTV near the entrance to try to catch those responsible.
He said: “I’d say we get this at least once a month.
“The council comes to clear it up and then these people just come back and do it again.
“There’s no CCTV there. They should really put one up as they’ll catch the people doing it.
“There’s asbestos in this latest pile which will be more difficult to get rid of for them.
