A Bristol woman is making a whopping £1,500-a-week from her ‘hobby’. Kassie Payne has now been able to quit her main job and work on her passion in life – painting elaborate designs on press-on nails.
After falling pregnant at 17, Kassie said she ‘had to do jobs that she didn’t really enjoy just to get by’ – but that’s all changed now. The designer’s creations can sometimes be as small as just two centimetres.
And the talented 34-year-old can even draw portraits of famous fictional characters, including Disney’s Mulan on nails. She charges up to £900 a set, which can take days to complete.

Kassie also sells specialist brushes and hosts TikTok Live sessions, and she’s even launched a range of paintbrushes so DIY nail artists can replicate her signature fine detailed work.
