ART students from the University of Bolton are delving into the world of surrealism and existentialism in an upcoming public exhibition.
Eight second year Fine Art students at the university have called their inaugural exhibition ‘TRANSMUTE’ – and it will feature art displayed in digital and physical mediums.
Helen Hosick, one of the members of the group, which is called Flux, said that the upcoming “exciting opportunity” would be showcasing a range of up and coming diverse artists.
She said: “There are eight of us in this exhibition as part of a collective of students and there will so much different artwork on display – paintings, photography, video – all sorts of different mediums.
“The themes have been made by us and cover so many different types of themes and topics – feminism, repairing broken things, portraiture of those who have gone above and beyond – there will be so much on.”
Other topics set to feature at the exhibition include faith, sexuality, mental health, body dysmorphia and a general look at culture in our lives.
