Tributes have been paid to a much-loved beauty queen who died just days after being crowned Miss Royal Somerset 2025 and was preparing to compete in the finals of Miss Royal UK.
Chloe Roberts, 21, proudly announced that she was dedicating her year as Miss Somerset to raising awareness of mental health issues, and the prevention of suicide following the death of a close friend who took her own life in 2021.
She had her own podcast called Talk It Out, streamed worldwide across Spotify, in which she tried to ‘stamp out the stigma’ of mental health conditions.
Details of how Miss Roberts died have not yet been released, but her death has been confirmed by many of her friends posting messages of condolence on social media, and speaking of their heartbreak.
Tributes described her as ‘one if the kindest most caring individuals both online and in real life’ and someone who was ‘adored by many’ as well as being ‘a little grafter, funny, kind, sweet and beautiful’.
