Torbay is being guided on the road to post-Covid recovery with a big and colourful offering of art and culture.
The theme is ‘Art at the Heart of Recovery – Rebuilding Together with Torbay’s Creative Community.’
Torquay’s Artizan Gallery is putting creatives first in their programme for the upcoming year, reimagining the high street, exhibition spaces and artist services at a moment where there is opportunity and huge appetite for disruptive change.
From bursary awards, to commissioning works and launching new creative spaces, activity will create opportunities not only for local artists, but for local audiences too.
“After two years of art viewed only through a screen, the importance of our physical spaces to unlock the wellbeing potential of art and culture has been wholly confirmed.” Julie Brandon, Owner Artizan Gallery “There are lessons to be taken from the innovation of the past 24 months, but now they are best applied on our high streets and in our public spaces as we celebrate open doors for the year ahead.”
