The UK Government is to make a major announcement on the future of Covid rules in England, with a public statement expected on Monday.
Boris Johnson is to set out his plan for Living With Covid – returning to normal life despite hundreds of people still dying from the virus.
Monday’s announcement will include a date for when self-isolation rules will end – expected to be before the end of next week.
That means anyone in England who tests positive for Covid no longer has to stay home – and can instead go to school, work, shops, pubs and on public transport.
The Prime Minister is also expected to set a date for when free Lateral Flow Tests will end. After this date if you want to know whether you have Covid you will have to pay, reports The Mirror.
Support for people who have Covid – including the £500 self-isolation payment – will also be scrapped and it is believed laws on when you can claim sick pay if you have Covid will also end.
For holidaymakers, Passenger Locator Forms could be scrapped.
