The RHS Flower Show Tatton Park is back, bringing attendees and viewers the joys of some of the best blooming flowers the country has to offer. This year’s theme of “flower power” will be showcased on BBC Two tonight. Revellers from all over have flocked to Tatton Park after last year’s show was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
While restrictions on the number of attendees have dropped in line with Government advice, visitors have been encouraged to take lateral flow tests before arriving.
One of the most famous enthusiasts of the gardening world, Alan Titchmarsh, would likely have been delighted at an RHS event being allowed to go ahead.
Titchmarsh has amassed a fan base spanning the world, with numerous spin-off shows, books and magazine articles published in his name.
One of those fans includes Queen Elizabeth II, the monarch having previously told him that he’d given “a lot of ladies a lot of pleasure”.
This was when he received his MBE in 2000, since having been awarded the Victoria Medal of Honour – the highest accolade in the British gardening world.
