TWO gardeners with some of the most prestigious green fingers in the business are giving a talk in Great Alne.
Renowned horticulturalist and head RHS judge Jim Buttress will host an event alongside Gardeners’ World presenter, author and award-winning gardener, Toby Buckland on Thursday October 20.
The duo will be coming to Great Alne Park, a later living community just outside Alcester, to take part in an expert gardening Q and A and demonstration.
Jim began his gardening career at RHS Wisley, where he trained before going on to manage numerous London parks and gardens including Hyde Park, St James’ Park, Clarence House, Buckingham Palace and Greenwich Park and enjoyed tea with the Queen Mother.
Jim’s career spans over half a century and he has won eight gold medals at RHS Chelsea and continues to judge RHS flower shows across the country.
Best known for his presenting on BBC’s Gardeners’ World, Toby has also won several gardening accolades including RHS Gold, Best in Show at Gardeners’ World Live and the Environmental Award from the Garden Media Guild.
