Those of us who are lucky enough to live in the North East know our region, and we know what we’re famous for … and the stereotypes believed by outsiders.
From our famous historical landmarks to our beaches – there’s no doubt we are and remain one of the most desired places to live in. Not to mention our rural villages, our cultural venues and nightlife.
And there is something to tick the boxes for everyone – from youngsters to pensioners, couples to singletons and from families to friends.
But being from up north someone is bound to ask if you and a certain Wallsend celebrity are on first name terms, if coal mining is still a thing up there or how do you cope with the Tyne Tunnel?
