Inspiration comes in many different forms.
Jamal Lowe’s own journey in football has rapidly become one that will be admired throughout the beautiful game.
According to the Swansea City ace, Jamie Vardy is the “GOAT” (greatest of all time) when it comes to a rags-to-riches tale in football.
The Leicester City forward has won a Premier League title and an FA Cup in addition to playing in Europe since joining the Foxes from Fleetwood Town in 2012 following a career in the lower leagues with Stocksbridge Park Steels and Halifax Town.
For Lowe, his dream was to simply make it as a footballer after turning his hand to teaching, and after years of graft and proving doubters wrong, the 26-year-old is now just one win away from the Premier League.
Lowe has enjoyed a fine debut campaign in south Wales having scored 14 times in the Championship since joining from Wigan Athletic for just £800,000.
But those strikes will count for nothing if Steve Cooper’s men don’t do the business against Brentford at Wembley.
