Lady Kitty Spencer has admitted she thought she had picked up someone else’s phone after Harry and Meghan’s wedding because her Instagram following increased so rapidly.
Lady Spencer, who is one of Prince William and Prince Harry’s cousins, went from 37,000 to 500,000 followers on the social network overnight after attending Harry’s Windsor wedding.
Speaking to Town & Country Magazine she said: “I woke up the next day and looked at my phone and thought, ‘Whoops, did I take someone else’s by mistake?’
“It was very weird, and a little bit overwhelming.”
Model Lady Spencer, 30, is the oldest daughter of Earl Spencer, and the niece of Diana, the late Princess of Wales.
She was born in England but spent much of her life in South Africa, where her mother and sisters still live.
