These vouchers are available for pregnant women and low-income households with children in order to help them buy healthy food and milk. The new card can be used in most places that accept Mastercard.
The scheme primarily assists those in need with healthy food items such as fruit, vegetables, milk and infant formula.
Participating retailers include relevant supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies and markets.
The card can also be used to collect free NHS Healthy Start vitamins.
The new prepaid card will even enable people to check their balance to help with money management.

Any money that is not spent will remain on the card and can be put toward healthy food in the future.
Payment is added to the card automatically and cards are topped up with £4.25 a week.
This amount would be double if it’s for a family with a child under 12 months old.
Any unspent money will remain on the card for 16 weeks.
