Mace Consult has appointed former Atkins Energy programme director Andy Oldham as its business unit director for defence, nuclear, energy and utilities.
A statement from the consultancy said his responsibilities will include “completely transforming the way Mace delivers infrastructure projects” and growing its work in the area.
Oldham has joined the firm from Atkins, where he was most recently based in the United Arab Emirates, working on the growth of nuclear power in the country. He had been based in the UK as programme director for the company prior to that. Oldham stated his career with British Nuclear Fuels, where he led major decommissioning programmes, before moving to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
The role of business unit director for defence, nuclear, energy and utilities was announced in a raft of Mace consultancy moves in February 2020, which followed a wider leadership restructure, announced the previous September.
