Independents are driving a retail revival in Llandudno with a series of new openings in the town.
The resort is one of North Wales’s biggest shopping draws but has been impacted by the collapse of UK retail chains – with Outfit closed and Debenhams set to shut.
However any predictions of doom for the town centre are being shattered by the rise of the independents – with a raft of openings and expansions.
New arrivals include Gear Menswear which has been set up by Andrew Jones who has left a career in construction to launch the store in the Victoria Centre.
He is taking a unit left by his daughter Chloe, who is moving her clothes boutique About You to a unit in the centre that is three times bigger.
Little Lily & Co baby and kids clothing is opening a second North Wales site in the precinct at the end of May after expanding from Rhos-on-Sea, and gift and accessories shop Murshi is another local brand adding a second store.
