Hopes are growing that a handful of key holiday destinations will receive the go-ahead when the UK government reveals tomorrow (Thursday 24 June) the latest changes to its pandemic traffic light system for overseas travel.
The news comes as representatives from across the UK’s travel industry took part in a day of action to put pressure on the government to capitalise on the vaccine roll-out by safely re-opening travel for the summer season.

In recent days, Government sources have hinted that quarantine-free holidays to Malta could be permitted as early as next week as part of a restricted update to its foreign travel green list. The Mediterranean island enjoys Europe’s most advanced vaccination programme with 80% of its population already having received at least one dose.
