A prominent campaigner for the heritage of Southport, Merseyside is recommending that his Local Authority and Towns Fund Board urgently reconsider its present shortlist of five spending projects for its grant money allocation based on several grounds concerning the parity and versatility of each item outlined long-term.
David Barton, former Councillor for the Dukes Ward covering the Town Centre and West Birkdale, who has spent years supporting the Local Authority with maximising its grant application yields, wishes to see the long-term rapport amongst all key stakeholders, and success achieved to date, strengthen so that his hometown and Borough may together flourish in synchronicity.
