Filming of the Lord Of The Rings TV series is to move to the UK from New Zealand, in a magical boost to the economy.
The second season will be made here, with locations across the country used for the landscapes to recreate JRR Tolkien’s Second Age of Middle-earth’s history.
Sources are confident the UK can easily match the beauty and scale of the locations on offer in New Zealand. They are set to be revealed in due course.
The as-yet-untitled, big-budget series is set to premiere on Prime Video in September next year.
The series is said to be the most expensive ever made, with a budget said to be £336 million.
