Inside the Gingerbread Centre at Stoke on Tren
A Stoke-on-Trent charity offering support to families who have been made homeless or are at risk of being made homeless has received a £1,000 donation from Barratt Homes.
The donation made to the Gingerbread Centre, in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire will help towards the refurbishment of a new outdoor community and play area.
The charity provides temporary accommodation and gives specialist support and advice to help the family get back on track and ultimately back into a home of their own.
Chris Belyavin, fundraiser at The Gingerbread Centre, said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Barratt Homes for their support, they are really helping to make a difference.
“The donation will go towards the refurbishment of our outdoor community and play area which currently is not fit for purpose. We plan to relay a block paving area and install a new safe play surface and new play equipment.”
