UK car production plummeted last year by almost 12% lower than the previous year as only 779,584 and 125,649 commercial vehicles was produced.
Car manufacturers are also being faced with problems to keep up with government targets and the lack of confidence for electric vehicles.
Figure from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) warned December saw the tenth consecutive month of decline in 2024 as production fell by 13.9%.
Car exports fell by 15.5% to 603,565 and there was a 20% drop in plug-in-hybrid and battery vehicle output.
