The Lakeland Home Help Company, based in Ulverston, began operating last month and covers the surrounding areas including Greenodd, Penny Bridge, Bardsea, Urswick, Lindal and Dalton.
The business offers a range of services including companionship, assistance with shopping, light housework, dog walking, food preparation, decluttering, and event chaperones.
A spokesperson explained: “We are a small team with years of experience in adult social care, community work and domestic services.
“We are aimed at providing companionship and assistance to your everyday life.
“Whether you or your family member need help with shopping, attending hospital appointments, enjoying a visit to a cafe, or tidying your home, the list is endless and we are happy to discuss ways we can help you.”
Home visits provided by the company are for a minimum of one hour, with the team offering visits for half days or full days.
