Longtime Keshet International (KI) executive Keren Shahar will succeed Alon Shtruzman as CEO of the company at the turn of the year.
Shahar, who is currently the chief operating officer and president of distribution, will assume the role on January 1, 2023, while Shtruzman will leave the company at the end of December.
Shahar, who joined Keshet Media Group in 2004, will be responsible for all the company’s activities and have oversight of its network of production companies and distribution hubs, including KI in Tel Aviv, Keshet UK, Tresor and Keshet Tresor Fiction in Germany, Keshet Studios in the US and Greenbird Media, in which it holds a majority stake.
Her responsibilities will include expanding KI’s international production output, boosting its catalogue of international dramas, factual entertainment shows and formats and growing the distribution side of the business.
