Devon is well-known for its beautiful green spaces and lush countryside, but there’s a particularly special place tucked just a short walk away from the University of Exeter’s main campus.
The Exeter Community Garden is a long-term initiative, established and cared for by members of the University of Exeter and the local community – and it’s helping to grow much more than plants.
It’s a peaceful space where people can meet and share ideas, a place where budding friendships blossom over an ever-important slice of homemade cake.

The garden brings students, academics and people from the local community together.
Currently, it has 200 people on its mailing list and around 30 students who visit the space regularly to pitch in with the locals.
