Our reporter Immy Share was lucky enough to go and see Sleeping Beauty at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre last night – and here’s what she thought.
The curtains were drawing open at 7pm and at 6.59pm I ran into Churchill Theatre as a sweaty, out of breath victim of London’s ever-delayed public transport.
I headed to my seats in the stalls which were right in the middle of the row and sat down in much need of a large glass of rose and something to take my mind off a busy day of work and the hustle and bustle of travelling round London with somewhere to be.
And, Sleeping Beauty at Churchill Theatre did just that.
I was morphed into a magical world of sparkle, humour, entertainment and music and I soon became engulfed into theatrical genius.
(The large glass of rose came in the interval.) The actors and actresses were brilliantly engaging and funny – and to have kids and adults laughing hysterically is nothing less than a work of art.
I felt dazzled, amazed and all-round happy as I watched.
