People are being encouraged to “support the town centre and the local economy as much as possible” in the run up to Christmas.
After a difficult 20 months for local traders it is hoped that festive events and free parking initiatives from Wrexham Council will encourage people to stay local and boost footfall for the town’s businesses.
This year sees the return of festive events in the town centre for the first time since 2019, including Santa’s Grotto on Eagles Meadow and a trio of singing penguins and a packed events schedule in Ty Pawb.
This Thursday (December 9) also sees the return of one of Wrexham’s Victorian Christmas Market – a much loved event in the town’s festive calendar.
Taking place from midday until 8pm on Thursday 9 December the event is expected to attract thousands of people to the town throughout the day.
