A green-fingered gardening enthusiast has grown a whopping 108lb marrow, or 7st 7lb in old money.
Terry Hicks, 63, from Loftus, has been growing and showing vegetables for over 30 years.
But he has never produced a marrow of this weight and size before.

“I’ve had a 70lb-er but I’ve never had one over 100lb, it is quite rare,” Terry said.
“This is the biggest one I’ve ever had by a long way, it took some lifting out I tell you.
“When I’m kneeling down it’s about the same height as me, and it’s broader than me.”
Terry bought the seeds from Medwyn Williams, as seen on BBC Gardeners’ World, who has 11 Chelsea gold medals and an MBE for his exhibits.
“First and foremost, you’ve got to get the right seed, I grew it in a manure heap and I gave it gallons and gallons of water every day,” Terry said.
Keen gardener Terry grows his produce in an allotment, on a private plot of land in Loftus, as well as in his own back garden.
