A Darlington care home has been highlighted in a recent watchdog report as ‘requiring improvement’.
It follows concerns raised over medicine handling, and an incident at the home in which a person sustained a serious injury.
Ventress Hall Care Home, in Trinity Road, Darlington, is a residential care home providing nursing, residential and dementia care as well as end of life and respite care.

Following a visit from inspectors at the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the home, run by Care UK Community Partnerships Ltd, were told that improvements to both safety around medicines, and leadership, must be improved.
No specific details about the incident which resulted in injury were given, but shortcomings in other areas were also highlighted.
