Residents at a care home in Rothley, Leicester have been enjoying a spot of gardening with the help of the Mountsorrel Beavers Scouts.
Children aged between six and eight joined forces with the Mountview residents to create an eye catching rainbow themed garden design in the garden, paying tribute to social care, NHS, and other healthcare staff that have worked at the forefront of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Residents spent time outdoors with the Beavers, providing useful gardening tips such as how to correctly plant flowers and bulbs in order to get the most bloom and how to maintain gardens with weed and pest maintenance techniques.
Resident, Betty Allen, said: “I have really enjoyed our garden visit from the Beaver Scouts, it is nice to see the clubs still exist as I have really fond memories from my days in the scouts.
