Shared on their Twitter profile, Charlotte, 6, was seen cradling Peacock and Red Admiral butterflies. The touching photos were part of the Butterfly Count initiative which is currently going on across the country. Accompanying the pictures, a statement read: “We wanted to share these beautiful Peacock and Red Admiral butterflies as part of Big Butterfly Count initiative taking place across the UK.
“Butterfly Conservation are encouraging us all to count these incredible creatures because not only are they beautiful creatures to be around but they are also extremely important.”
Witnessing the pictures, royal fans took to Twitter to reveal their delight at the adorable snaps of Charlotte.
One person said: “The care she is taking with the butterfly in her hands shows so much empathy.”
A second said: “Beautiful Princess and butterflies.”
The Cambridges also sent Meghan, Duchess of Sussex their well-wishes after she turned 40 this week.
