A nine-year-old boy is confirmed to be among the three people who have died at a beauty spot this weekend.
The tragedy happened at Loch Lomond, Scotland, in what the Daily Record has described as being a “horror weekend” for swimmers and young sunseekers.
A boy, nine, is confirmed to have died and the incident has left another young boy fighting for life his in hospital.
Police Scotland confirmed officers responded to an incident at Pulpit Rock at the Ardlui end of the loch following reports of concerns for people in the water on Saturday evening.
Three people are confirmed to have died – a 29-year-old woman, a 41-year-old man and a nine-year-old boy. A seven-year-old boy was also rushed to hospital.
The tragedy takes the total number of deaths in the water this weekend to five – 11-year-old Dean Irvine drowned in Stonehouse, Lanarkshire, and 16-year-old Connor Markward lost his life at Loch Lomond on Friday.
