Rangers star Alfredo Morelos is finally set to return to Ibrox after Colombia ended their Copa America campaign on a high.
The South Americans pipped Peru in dramatic fashion by netting a last-minute winner and coming from behind to win 3-2 in the competition’s third-place playoff.
Morelos, 25 was recalled to the squad for the clash with the Peruvians but once again failed to get any minutes for Los Cafeteros.
This means the striker played only once for his country at the tournament; coincidentally a 2-1 defeat to Peru in the competition’s group stages.
The match was won by FC Porto forward Luis Diaz, who scored a double to down Peru after Yoshimar Yotun had put Peru ahead just before half-time.
Minutes after the restart Juan Cuadrado had Colombia level before Diaz poked the nation’s nose in front with around 25 minutes to go.
